Check in Faster for Your Next Appointment
UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics (UPMC CCP) offers families a faster check-in process via their patient portal. Before you arrive for your next appointment, you can:
- Make a copay
- Verify insurance information
- Electronically sign documents
- Complete questionnaires
MyUPMC users can easily check-in by using the mobile app's eCheck-in feature. If you have a valid email address and/or cell phone number on file with your UPMC CCP pediatrician, you’ll also receive an email or text message prior to your appointment prompting you to complete eCheck-in. In addition, MyUPMC users can also complete the check-in process 15-minutes prior to their next appointment. Simply open the MyUPMC app once you have arrived at our office and hit the “I’m here” button.
If you are unable to complete eCheck-in ahead of time, don’t worry. Please visit our check-in kiosk or the office’s front desk when you arrive for your next appointment.

Pediatric proxy
Pediatric proxy allows parents/legal guardians access to their child’s health record through their patient portal account. Pediatric proxy is available for parents/legal guardians from the birth of their child until the child’s 18th birthday.
How to obtain pediatric proxy for MyUPMC members
- Log in to your MyUPMC account.
- Once logged in, select Request Proxy Access from the main menu.
Call the MyUPMC Support Line at 1-833-298-7320 if you have any questions or need help.
