Behavioral Health Services, making children and families well.
UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics understands the complexities of behavioral health issues and the toll they can take on individuals and families.
We provide multidisciplinary services embedded within some of our offices that treat children with a variety of behavioral health issues in order to improve quality of life and functioning at home and in the community.
Our collaborative team of pediatricians, psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists work together to provide complete evaluations of psychiatric disorders and brief evidence-based treatment within the pediatric office when indicated. Our experts will make necessary referrals when additional care is needed.
We use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including parent management training (PMT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and relaxation training.
