Driver’s physicals from your pediatrician.
Learning to drive is no easy task. While we can’t be in the passenger seat to help your teen learn to drive, we can provide you with peace of mind that your child is physically ready to take on this new adventure.
For your convenience, UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics (UPMC CCP) is pleased to offer driver’s physicals at all of our locations. A physical exam and completed form are required to obtain a learner’s permit in Pennsylvania. During the visit, your UPMC CCP provider will conduct a physical exam of your child as well as reinforce driving safety measures including the importance of wearing a seat belt, the dangers of distracted driving, and options for establishing a driving contract between you and your teen.
To schedule an appointment, please call your UPMC CCP office or login to your MyUPMC portal to schedule an appointment online.
Our central Pennsylvania offices should use their MyChart portal to schedule.
