Director of Marketing and Communications, UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics
Michelle F. Faderewski serves as the director of marketing and communications for UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics. Ms. Faderewski is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing internal and external communication strategies throughout western Pennsylvania in order to establish and maintain a strong, positive brand for UPMC CCP’s primary care and Children’s Express Care locations.
Prior to joining UPMC CCP, Ms. Faderewski served as the director of marketing and communications for the University of Pittsburgh Diabetes Institute (UPDI), a division of UPMC. Her primary responsibilities included developing and implementing targeted marketing strategies to promote 34 diabetes clinics throughout western Pennsylvania, coordinating diabetes public awareness campaigns and events with regional media partners, creating websites and collateral material, and establishing and promoting a regional health care collaboration.
Ms. Faderewski has produced several award-winning projects throughout her career, most recently, receiving the Public Relations Society of America’s Renaissance Award for UPMC CCP’s 2013 and 2014 annual reports. Ms. Faderewski was also recognized at the 2011 CDC Diabetes Translation Conference for her work in creating a successful multi-media social marketing campaign targeted to at-risk individuals.
Ms. Faderewski began her career working as a marketing specialist at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh where she executed marketing and advocacy initiatives for 20 libraries throughout the City of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Faderewski earned her bachelors of science in business administration from Duquesne University. She is also a 2013 graduate of the Disney Institute’s Building a Culture of Healthcare Excellence program.
