Practice Administrator, UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics
Meg Nowak, BSN, serves as a practice administrator for UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics.
Ms. Nowak earned her bachelors of science in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, and is a registered nurse with 30 years’ experience in inpatient and outpatient nursing, practice management, clinical operations and administration. Her administrative experience has been with the Cardiovascular Institute and Department of Pediatrics for the University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP), as well as the Service Line Director for Women’s Health for Allegheny Health Network.
Ms. Nowak has extensive pediatric practice leadership experience gained while serving as the division administrator and director of operations for UPP’s Department of Pediatrics at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In this role, Ms. Nowak directed operations for several divisions including general academic pediatrics primary care, adolescent and young adult health, child development unit, medical genetics, rheumatology, neurology, neurodevelopment in rare disorders, nephrology and diagnostic referral group.
Ms. Nowak began her current role as director of practice management with UPMC CCP in September 2017, and provides administrative oversight for UPMC CCP’s practice operations. In this role, she serves as a liaison between select UPMC CCP practices and UPMC CCP’s leadership team. Ms. Nowak is responsible for strategic planning and growth at the practice level, staff development, and ensuring all practices operate consistently and meet UPMC CCP quality standards.
