Senior Director of Human Resources, UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics
Jamie Scarano, MA, HCI/UPMC sHRBP serves as the senior director of human resources for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP). As a human resource professional with over 35 years of experience, Ms. Scarano is responsible for providing executive oversight of talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement and relations for both business units. Since 2017, Ms. Scarano has worked to build and enhance strategies that lead to effective People practices impacting nearly 4,500 employees.
Prior to joining CCP, she served as vice president of human resources for Wexford Health Sources, as a senior human resource professional for Apria Healthcare, and held various leadership roles throughout UPMC’s integrated healthcare system. In addition, she has volunteered her time to serve on several community boards including Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Women Work.
Ms. Scarano received a bachelor of science in business administration from Robert Morris University and her master of arts in human resource management/ industrial relations from St. Francis University. She holds certificates from various other organizations including a certificate in Leading Organizational Change from the University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School.
