UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is once again bringing its mobile safety center to Pittsburgh neighborhoods this summer. The Injury Prevention Home Safety Van is a replica of the hospital safety center and travels to various community sites to provide home safety education and resources.
This year’s events will feature free bike helmet education and distribution sponsored by Kohl's Hard Head Program along with a variety of other safety-themed information and demonstrations including how to child-proof the home, the importance of smoke detectors, protecting children through gun locks, as well as free safety products for families to use in their homes.
