Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP) is expanding its pediatric network to Bedford, Pa. Bedford County Pediatric Associates will join the CCP network on Feb. 3, 2014. The practice now will be known as CCP – Bedford Pediatrics.
David Kerstetter, MD opened Bedford County Pediatric Associates in 1977 and operated his one-physician practice until 2014 when he decided to retire. Dr. Kerstetter has partnered with CCP to ensure the thousands of patients he cared for continue to receive quality pediatric care.
“CCP has a long-standing tradition of providing quality care to their patients,” said Dr. Kerstetter. “I know I’ll be leaving my patients in good hands with CCP.”
A new full-time pediatrician will join CCP – Bedford Pediatrics on April 1. In the meantime, patients will continue to receive care from long-time practice provider, Marcy Herzog, PA-C and pediatricians from CCP’s network including several pediatricians from CCP – Altoona.
By joining CCP, CCP – Bedford Pediatrics becomes part of the largest pediatric and adolescent care network in western Pennsylvania. With more than 120 board-certified pediatricians in more than 30 pediatric locations across Allegheny, Armstrong, Blair, Butler, Erie, Fayette, Indiana, Mercer, Washington, and Westmoreland counties, CCP provides pediatric care to more than 170,000 patients annually.
“CCP is pleased to expand our network to Bedford,” said Kathy Guatteri, president of CCP. “By partnering with CCP and through our relationship with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, CCP – Bedford Pediatrics will be afforded continual access to the latest medical information and the most advanced technologies, which will enhance the health and well-being of the children and families they serve.”
CCP – Bedford Pediatrics will continue to see patients at its current location. The office hours will be expanded to now open at 8 a.m. Office staff will remain the same. New patients currently are being accepted.
