Established in 1980, CCP – Monroeville Pediatric Associates is committed to providing the highest level of care to infants, children, and adolescents. Our practice specializes in preventive care and health maintenance for children from birth through age 18. Your child's health and well-being are as important to us as they are to you.

In 1999 our practice joined the Children's Community Pediatrics network. We have four pediatricians and a CRNP who offer the high quality pediatric and adolescent primary care.

General Information

Appointments

Monday through Thursday: 8:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Friday: 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday morning appointments are available for urgent sick visits starting at 8:30 a.m.

CCP Walk-in Service
Monday through Friday: 7:45 to 9 a.m.
Saturday: 9 to 11:00 a.m.
Sick visits for established patients only. No appointment necessary.

New Patients

We always accept new patients. Call to schedule an initial visit so that we can examine your child and review his or her medical record.

Newborns

We welcome all newborns to our practice. If you are delivering at Forbes Regional Hospital or Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, tell the staff that you have chosen CCP – Monroeville Pediatric Associates, and we will see your baby within the first 24 hours. If you are delivering at another hospital, we will see your baby at the office as soon as necessary after discharge, usually within two to three days. Call our office before you leave the hospital to schedule an appointment. If you would like to meet us before delivery, call our office to schedule a prenatal visit.

After-Hours Care and Emergency Service

Our telephones are answered 24 hours a day. After hours calls are answered by Children’s Hospital
Triage and Advice Center. This experienced group of pediatric nurses can assist you with medical advice, and will contact the on-call doctor if necessary. If your child needs immediate medical attention, one of our physicians is always available.

Referrals

If your insurance plan requires a referral for services outside of our primary care office, please call in advance and our staff will assist you.

You are responsible for obtaining referrals prior to seeing any physician other than your child's primary care physician. Please call us regarding referrals Tuesday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. only.

One-week advance notice is required when requesting a referral to a specialist. When possible, surgery authorizations require a 10- to 14-day advance notice.

We are unable to fax a referral to a physician's office the same day the patient is being seen.

Test Results

We will notify you regarding abnormal test results only. If you have any questions regarding specific results, please call us.

Prescriptions and Refills

Routine prescriptions are handled during regular business hours by utilizing a voice mail system. Please do not call after hours for a routine prescription or refill.

Billing and Insurance

Our billing is centralized and handled through Children's Community Pediatrics' administrative office. If you have a specific question regarding your bill, please call 1-888-857-7646.

Our physicians are board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and are Fellows of the  American Academy of Pediatrics. They are members of the medical staff at the following hospitals:

Announcements

Flu Vaccination

Our pediatricians and the CDC recommend that all children ages six months and older be vaccinated against influenza this season. Please call our office to schedule an appointment now for the fall of 2012.
