Overview
Established in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh in 1953, Children's Community Pediatrics – Bass Wolfson is one of the premier pediatric and adolescent medical practices in the area. Our founder, the late Dr. Lee Bass, inspired our practice with the philosophy that the most satisfying and effective care comes from the combination of personal attention to our patients and their families and close involvement with the teaching programs at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
In 1997, we joined the Children's Community Pediatrics network. We care for patients from birth through the age of 21 and offer the high quality pediatric and adolescent primary care you expect from a Children's Hospital affiliate. In addition to our experience with acute and chronic medical problems, our pediatricians have expertise in several areas.

Free classes for expectant parents
Sign-up for a free Baby Basics class presented by a pediatrician from Children's Community Pediatrics for new and expectant mothers and fathers, caregivers, and grandparents.

Appointments
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to noon
Also open several evenings.
Morning Walk-in Service
Monday through Friday: 7:30 to 10 a.m.
Telephone Consultations
Monday through Saturday: 8 to 8:30 a.m.
After-Hours Care and Emergency Service
If an urgent problem arises after hours, call the office phone number. Advice nurses from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC will work with the doctor on-call from our group to help you with your child's problem. If you believe that the problem is a life-threatening emergency, call Emergency Medical Services before calling us.
Referrals
If your insurance plan requires a referral for services outside of our primary care office, please call in advance and our staff will assist you.

Billing and Insurance
Our billing is centralized and handled through Children's Community Pediatrics' administrative office. If you have a specific question regarding your bill, please call 1-888-857-7646.
