CCP – Allegheny
CCP - Allegheny Brochure (PDF)
Founded in 1981, CCP – Allegheny is devoted to the medical care of infants, children and adolescents ages birth through 18. We believe in and practice the concept of well child care. Our providers assist parents with the care of their sick children as well as provide advice about their health and development.
Many times when we see your children, we will be dealing with specific medical problems. But we will also see your child at regular well child check-ups, to assess his or her growth and development and to anticipate potential problems before they arise.
By appointment only.
Monday through Saturday and several evenings
CCP Walk-in Service
Monday through Friday: 7:45 to 9 a.m. (except national holidays)
Monday through Sunday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. This time is set aside each day to answer any non-urgent questions you may have and for you to call if your child has been up during the night and you feel that he or she may need an appointment. We ask that our patients and their families try to make use of this scheduled time so we do not have frequent interruptions when we are with patients. However, please call any time with urgent problems.
We always accept new patients. Call to schedule an initial visit so that we can examine your child and review his or her medical record.
We welcome all newborns to our practice. If you are delivering at Magee-Women's Hospital or The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, tell the staff that youhave chosen CCP – Allegheny, and we will see your baby within the first 24 hours. If you are delivering at another hospital, we will see your baby at the office as soon as necessary after discharge, usually within two to three days. Call our office before you leave the hospital to schedule an appointment. If you would like to meet us before delivery, call our office to schedule a prenatal visit.
After-Hours Care and Emergency Service
Our telephones are answered 24 hours a day. After hours calls are answered by our own nurse triage service who will contact the on-call physician. Our nurses are always available and can direct you to the most appropriate care for your child.
If your insurance plan requires a referral for services outside of our primary care office, please call in advance and our staff will assist you in obtaining the referral. Please try to call three business days before you need your referral so we have time to process the paperwork.
