Lorraine R. Ferrante, RN serves as the director of clinical operations and practice management for Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP). Ms. Ferrante is a registered nurse with over 35 years of nursing experience. This includes staff nursing, home health, critical care, cardiology and nursing administration.

Ms. Ferrante’s primary responsibilities at CCP include providing clinical oversight and guidance for CCP staff, managing patient relations and overseeing the continued optimization of CCP electronic medical record. In addition, she provides administrative oversight for CCP practice operations. In this role, she serves as a liaison between select CCP practices and CCP’s leadership team. 

Ms. Ferrante joined CCP in 2011 as an informatics nurse and was subsequently promoted to director of clinical operations in 2012. During her tenure, Ms. Ferrante spearheaded and led a CCP-wide initiative to achieving patient-centered medical home accreditation from The Joint Commission.

Along with her many responsibilities, Ms. Ferrante also leads the resolution of risk management issues identified at the practice level and serves as CCP’s liaison with internal and external legal counsel and government agencies.

Prior to joining CCP, Ms. Ferrante served as a Senior Practice Manager for UPMC’s Cardiovascular Institute and was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and clinical compliance for five clinics.

She began her career as a medical surgical staff nurse at UPMC St. Margaret.

Ms. Ferrante is a graduate of the Physician Services Division MBA program and Disney Institute’s Building a Culture of Healthcare Excellence program.
