Cory L. Vogel serves as the director of human resources for UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics. She has 17 years of human resources experience including talent acquisition, training, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, and compliance issues.
Along with her many human resource responsibilities, Ms. Vogel also led the development and implementation of UPMC CCP’s Inspiring Excellence program which was designed to improve both the staff and patient experience at UPMC CCP.
Ms. Vogel coordinates all UPMC CCP fundraising initiatives in support of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Each year, she serves as chair for UPMC CCP’s employee giving campaign.
Prior to joining UPMC CCP in 2011, Ms. Vogel worked for Wendy’s International serving as a human resources representative for 89 restaurant locations in Pennsylvania. In 2008, she received the Dave Thomas Legacy Award for demonstrating the organization’s values of Quality, Integrity, Respect, Profit Growth and Giving Back.
Ms. Vogel earned her bachelors of arts and science in psychology from Ohio University and completed her PHR certification. She is also a 2013 graduate of the Disney Institute’s Building a Culture of Healthcare Excellence program.

By visiting UPMC Children’s Express Care, our after-hours clinic, your child will receive the same specialized pediatric care you’ve come to expect from your UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics pediatrician. Open conveniently on evenings and weekends, your child can receive care for minor injuries and illnesses when your pediatrician’s office is closed for the day.
