CCP – Moon
CCP - Moon Brochure (PDF)
Established in 1974, CCP – Moon is a medical group practice specializing in pediatric and adolescent medicine from birth through the teenage years. Our mission is to provide high-quality medical care for our patients, which means more than being knowledgeable and well-trained in pediatric medicine. It also means communicating well and having a positive relationship with our patients and their parents. In addition to treating medical problems, we provide preventive well child care, including developmental and behavioral assessments and counseling.
In 1996, our practice, formerly RJP&A Pediatrics, partnered with four other well-established community pediatric practices to create Children’s Community Pediatrics. Today, we operate three CCP locations in Moon, South Fayette, and Wexford. We have nine female providers and five male providers – a real benefit for our adolescent patients. Patients have the option to choose one particular provider in our practice. We work as a team and strive to provide consistent care, consulting frequently with each other to discuss advances and changes in medical care.
We believe in preventive health care with a strong emphasis on patient and parent education. CCP – Moon follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics for routine checkups, immunizations, diagnostic screenings, and appropriate counseling at each age period, from birth through adolescence.

We will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
We always accept new patients. Call to schedule an initial visit so that we can examine your child and review his or her medical record.
We welcome all newborns to our practice. If you are delivering at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, tell the staff that you have chosen CCP – Moon, and we will see your baby within the first 24 hours. If you are delivering at another hospital, we will see your baby at the office as soon as necessary after discharge, usually within two to three days. Call our office before you leave the hospital to schedule an appointment. If you would like to meet us before delivery, call our office to a complementary prenatal visit.
After-Hours Care and Emergency Service
Our telephones are answered 24 hours a day. After hours calls are answered by Children’s Hospital Triage and Advice Center. This experienced group of pediatric nurses can assist you with medical advice, and will contact the on-call doctor if necessary. If your child needs immediate medical attention, one of our physicians is always available.
If your insurance plan requires a referral for services outside of our primary care office, please call in advance and our staff will assist you.
