Lori Martinez, MS/HSA, serves as executive administrator and secretary of board of UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics (UPMC CCP). Mrs. Martinez joined UPMC CCP in 2015 and provides administrative oversight for the network’s pediatric primary care offices, specialty clinics and UPMC Children’s Express Care sites.

In this role, Mrs. Martinez leads the establishment and execution of business planning, facility and clinical operations, external relations, physician relations and recruitment, new practice acquisitions and fiscal management. She is also responsible for assuring that the services delivered by UPMC CCP are consistent with the organization's mission.

Prior to joining UPMC CCP, Mrs. Martinez served as an assistant administrator for University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP) Department of Pediatrics. While in this role, she was responsible for the administrative oversight of 20 pediatric sub-specialty divisions.

Mrs. Martinez began her healthcare career as a diagnostic staff radiographer at The Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1982. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in 1996, Mrs. Martinez joined UPMC’s Cardiovascular Institute as the manager of imaging services and was subsequently promoted several times until being named the division administrator in 2006.

In 2010, Mrs. Martinez joined UPP Department of Pediatrics as a division administrator and was subsequently promoted to assistant administrator in 2011.

Mrs. Martinez earned her master’s in health services administration from the University of St. Francis and her bachelors of science in health services from Point Park University.
