Kimberly Roth, MD, MPH 
  Medical Director of Preparedness Operations, Children’s Community Pediatrics

Kimberly Roth, MD, serves as the medical director of preparedness operations for Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP). Dr. Roth is a board-certified physician specializing in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She is responsible for ensuring CCP’s compliance with The Joint Commission’s emergency management standards. In this role, Dr. Roth works with CCP practices on risk mitigation, emergency planning, response to and recovery from unexpected emergencies. Dr. Roth also works closely with CCP staff to provide emergency preparedness education and training. As CCP’s community liaison, Dr. Roth coordinates with community-based emergency response providers such as EMS, law enforcement and health departments to ensure CCP is providing a safe environment for our patients and staff.

Dr. Roth will also continue to serve as the medical director of prehospital services and medical director of the emergency preparedness program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. For over 10 years, Dr. Roth has also had the privilege to serve as the medical director of the Pennsylvania EMS for Children Program. This program’s mission is to ensure that all children and adolescents, no matter where they live, attend school, or travel, receive appropriate care in a health emergency.

In addition to her current administrative duties, Dr. Roth is applying her vast experience in pediatric emergency medicine to seeing patients at Children’s Express Care.

Dr. Roth attended Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa. as an undergraduate. She received her doctorate of medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. In addition, Dr. Roth received a masters of public health from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.
